The original town house is located in the characteristic street Willemsparkweg, near the Museum Square of Amsterdam. The client - living on the upper floors - bought the space below to start a fashion shop. The assignment was to connect the shop space with the lower garden, so she could work while the kids were playing outside.

The result is a veranda with stairs. The regulations are rather strict in this area. Therefore an extra entrance to the basement was skipped and the first generous stairs had to be smaller. Mirck Architecture arranged the building permission. Unfortunately the client was not yet able to start the construction of the veranda.
