De internationale Active House Alliance geeft al tien jaar prijzen aan de gezondste gebouwen ter wereld. Active House is een visie op balans tussen comfort, energie en milieu. Het Buitenhuis werd genomineerd door het uitzonderlijke daglicht binnen, en kreeg bij de uitreiking zelfs lof van de jury (‘commendation’).
De Active House Awards werden 13 april uitgereikt tijdens het Active House Symposium in De Doelen, Rotterdam. Inspirerende sprekers lieten zien dat het binnenklimaat wereldwijd veel gezonder moet, maar ook veel gezonder kan. Daglicht speelt daarbij ook een grote rol.

“All the 2022 Active House Award shortlisted projects are stunning for the different approaches and strategies assumed in terms of shapes, aesthetics, and performances. The jury has appreciated the matches of New European Bauhaus values of Sustainability, Beauty and Inclusion with the Active House criteria of Comfort, Energy and Environment. The entries came from all over the world, showing how the Active House vision is becoming more consistent, producing a beautiful solution for our future toward 2030”.
